Cicero runs on work trucks: box trucks out of the yards near the rail lines, trade vans on 16th Street, flatbeds and service pickups. We wrap all of it in cast vinyl, printed in house, picked up from your lot and back on the road in one to three days depending on the body.

Why Do Cicero Businesses Choose Fleet Wraps?

In Cicero the vehicle usually gets seen before the business does. A box truck backing into a dock on Cermak Road, a service van double-parked on a 5 a.m. call, a flatbed held up at a rail crossing: that is the first impression, and it is the one piece of advertising a trade shop buys once instead of renting by the month.

Cicero is one of the most densely populated suburbs in Cook County, with over 84,000 residents in just 5.1 square miles. Its location adjacent to Chicago's west side and its industrial heritage make it a hub for service businesses, contractors, and logistics companies that need fleet branding that works across both the suburbs and the city.

Plenty of trade vans in Cicero still run magnetic signs. Magnets fall off at highway speed, trap grit against the paint underneath, and leave a rectangle of unfaded paint behind when they come off for good. A printed wrap is laminated, inset from the panel edges so a brush wash cannot catch it, and it covers the whole body instead of one door.

Home Services

Cicero's dense residential neighborhoods, primarily working-class bungalows and two-flats, create strong demand for roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and remodeling services. Contractors with wrapped vans operating in Cicero are seen as more professional and established, leading to higher conversion rates from cold calls and referrals.

Trucking & Logistics

Cicero's location adjacent to Chicago's freight rail yards and I-290 makes it a natural hub for trucking and logistics companies. Box trucks and semi-tractors operating out of Cicero benefit from full wraps that advertise across the entire Chicago metro on every route.

Cicero Fleet Wrap Pricing

Price follows wrappable square footage, so a 26-foot box is a different order of work from a Transit. Every figure here includes layout, HP Latex printing, the laminate, the install labor and the round trip out to Cicero. Nothing on that list is quoted separately afterwards.

Count the trucks in the order and the per-vehicle price drops. A second truck takes 3% off both. At five vehicles it is 7%, at ten 11%, and a 25-truck rollout takes 15%. The tier follows the order, not the calendar year, so a Cicero yard doing six trucks across one month should book them as one job.

What Cicero Vehicles Actually Need Before They Get Wrapped

Most of what comes out of a Cicero yard is older, harder-working metal than the vans in a dealer brochure, and that changes the prep rather than the price. Three things decide whether a wrap looks right in year four.

Riveted and corrugated box sides

A dry van or reefer body is not a flat canvas. Film has to be heated into every rivet head with a rivet brush and then post-heated so it stays down instead of tenting in the first cold snap. We also keep the print off door tracks, hinges and the liftgate frame, because anything that moves will cut vinyl. Plan on the 2 to 3 day end of the table for a 22 to 26 foot body.

Lettering you are legally required to keep

USDOT numbers, your legal company name and unit numbers have to stay legible, and the data plate in the door jamb does not get covered. Bring us the exact numbers and we print them into the layout at the required size instead of covering them and sticking cut vinyl over the top later. Unit numbers get their own layer in the file, so truck 7 looks like it was designed, not labeled in the parking lot.

Paint that has already been repaired

Vinyl grabs sound paint. On a panel with old filler, overspray or surface rust we test a patch before committing, and if it fails we say so and wrap the panels that will hold. Covering a failing panel buys one season and then takes the film with it.

If your fleet reads to two audiences, raise it at layout. Running Spanish and English on the same van means fewer words per panel, not smaller type, and the phone number stays the biggest thing on the truck either way.

Cicero Fleet Wrap FAQ

How far is your shop from Cicero?

About 8 miles. Our shop sits at 4711 N Lamon Ave #7, Portage Park, a straight run north on Cicero Avenue or Central Avenue and roughly 15 minutes when the Eisenhower is behaving. Collection and drop-off cost nothing on a Cicero address, so none of your drivers burns half a day ferrying a truck across town.

Do you wrap commercial vehicles only, or personal vehicles too?

Both, through our install bay. Commercial fleets are the bulk of the schedule, but privately owned cars and trucks come through too, color changes included. The floor on one vehicle is $2,850. Call (312) 597-1286 and say what the body is and whether the paint is factory.

What's the minimum order for fleet pricing?

Two. Tiers run 3% at 2 to 4 vehicles, 7% at 5 to 9, 11% at 10 to 24, 15% at 25 and above. Mixed bodies count together, so one box truck plus two vans is a three-vehicle order at the first tier.

“Cicero. The part nobody tells you: the wrap goes on to protect the paint underneath, and it peels off clean years later. Nineteen thousand four hundred vehicles deep, the process does not change.”

How much does a color change wrap cost in Cicero?

Plan on roughly $3,400 on a car, about 15% above what the same shell costs as a printed commercial wrap. The gap is labor rather than markup: jambs, hood edges and door handles get taken apart, and satin, matte, chrome and color-shift stock all cost more per yard than printed gloss. The film is 3M 2080 or Avery J55C under a UV overlaminate, which is why it lifts off factory paint cleanly years later. We collect from Cicero free. Vehicle-by-vehicle numbers are in the Chicago car wrap cost guide.
