How Do Quotes and Pricing Work?

Quotes are based on the vehicle, coverage, surface, and fleet size you provide. Prices are firm once confirmed in writing and are valid for 30 days. Custom work requires a deposit before production. Final pricing is confirmed after measurement and surface check.

What Goes Into a Quote?

Every quote starts with the year, make, model and body configuration of each vehicle. A high roof is not a standard roof, a riveted box is not a smooth box, and a van carrying a ladder rack, a roll up door or a bed cover has less wrappable surface than the same van bare. Coverage is priced four ways: full wrap, partial wrap, lettering and decals, or a color change. Surface condition and the number of vehicles on one contract finish the number.

  • Full wrap
  • Partial wrap
  • Lettering and decals
  • A color change

Fleet volume discounts apply to a single contract and do not add up across separate orders. The ladder starts at two vehicles: 3% off at 2 to 4 vehicles, 7% at 5 to 9, 11% at 10 to 24, and 15% at 25 or more. Units you add after a contract is signed go on a new contract at whatever tier that order reaches on its own.

Trailers of every kind, utility, enclosed cargo, concession and semi, along with food trucks and food trailers, are not list priced. The bodies vary too much from one unit to the next. We measure yours and quote it per project.

How Fast Do You Hear Back?

Send a vehicle list and you get a first reply within two business hours during shop hours, which are Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The itemized version follows within 24 hours once we hold what it needs: the vehicle list, the coverage you want, and either print ready artwork or a design brief. A first reply is not the finished number, and we will not call it one.

Work and materials

We install Avery Dennison and 3M cast vinyl and print on HP Latex equipment. Workmanship is warranted separately from the film maker's material warranty. Wrap lifespan depends on care and conditions.

What the two warranties cover

Two separate warranties run on a wrap and they are not interchangeable. Our installation work carries a 2-year workmanship warranty covering qualifying installation related lifting, peeling, bubbling, edge failure and adhesion defects under normal use, subject to the written warranty terms. The film carries a 5-year material warranty for qualifying material defects, subject to the material maker's own terms and exclusions.

Expected service life for the cast vinyl we install is 5 to 7 years. Service life is how long film is expected to keep performing, not a period of coverage, and the two do not get merged here. What is covered, what is not, and how a claim runs are set out on the warranty page.

Vehicle condition and surface risk

Cast vinyl needs sound factory paint under it. A freshly repainted panel has to finish out-gassing before film goes over it, and a clear coat that is already lifting can come away with the film at removal years later. Filler, rust bubbles, deep scratches and old pinstriping all telegraph through film or change how a panel finishes.

We walk every vehicle before work starts and put any panel that carries an adhesion or removal risk in writing. Wrapping it anyway is your call to make, and the note exists so that the decision is on the record. A panel we flagged and you approved sits outside the workmanship warranty.

Artwork, proofs and who owns the files

You supply logos, fonts and photography, and you confirm you hold the rights to use them. We build print ready art from that, send a digital proof, and print what you approve and nothing else. Approval is the moment color and layout lock, so read the proof against your own brand standards before you sign it off.

You own your production art files from day one. Ask for them and we send them. On a fleet program we wrap one unit first and get you in front of it in daylight before the rest go into the bays, because a panel break that looks right on a screen can read differently across a 20 foot box.

Pickup, delivery and custody of the vehicle

Pickup and delivery are free in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will and McHenry counties. Ask about anything outside those six and we will price the run before you commit to it. While a vehicle is with us it sits at the shop at 4711 N Lamon Ave #7, and secure indoor overnight storage is available. Many commercial vehicles up to roughly 40 feet long fit indoors, though roof height and roof mounted equipment decide that one unit at a time.

Clear the cab before the vehicle changes hands. Tools, paperwork, fuel cards, cash, anything you would miss: take it with you. We account for keys at pickup and hand them back at delivery, and we are not responsible for items left inside a vehicle.

Removal and replacement

Removal is its own line on a quote, priced per vehicle, and it is not folded into a wrap price unless the quote says so. Film pulled inside its service life lifts in sheets with heat. Film left well past that window tears into strips and takes more heat and more adhesive remover, which is why pulling an old wrap costs more than pulling a current one.

Client responsibilities

You confirm you own or are authorized to brand the vehicles and surfaces, and that supplied artwork does not infringe third-party rights. Surfaces must be in suitable condition; we flag any surface that carries removal or adhesion risk before work begins.

Liability

Chicago Fleet Wraps is not liable for pre-existing damage, defects in customer-supplied materials, or surface conditions disclosed and accepted before work. Our liability is limited to the value of the work performed.

Deposits, cancellation and refunds

Custom work starts once a deposit is in, and the deposit, material non-return, cancellation and payment dispute terms are set out in full on the refund policy page. Those terms are part of this agreement. Film is printed for your vehicles and your brand, so it cannot go back on a shelf, and that is what a deposit stands against.

Changes to these terms

We update this page when the way we work changes. The version that governs a project is the one posted here on the day you accept a quote. These terms are governed by Illinois law, and any dispute under them belongs in the state courts of Cook County, Illinois.
