Your Van Off the Road for a Week Costs You Money. We Do One Day Wraps: In Before Noon, Out by 5 PM.
One day wraps get your vehicle back on the road the same day. Chicago Fleet Wraps installs partial wraps, vinyl lettering, spot graphics, and select color change accents in a single business day, for businesses that cannot afford downtime. Not every wrap needs 3 to 5 days in the bay.
- Partial commercial wraps, sides and rear. Installed in 4 to 6 hours
- Commercial vinyl lettering. Company name, phone, DOT info. 2 to 4 hours
- Single-panel color change accents. Hood, roof, or trunk. 3 to 5 hours
- Spot graphics and logo applications. 1 to 3 hours
- Fleet decal packages for multiple vehicles. 1 to 2 hours per vehicle
All one day wraps use the same premium Avery Dennison and 3M cast vinyl as our multi-day installations. No shortcuts and no calendered film: the difference is scope, not quality. Pricing runs about 20% of the vehicle's full-wrap price for lettering packages and 55% for partial wraps. Full vehicle wraps need 2 to 5 days and cannot be rushed without compromising quality. Free pickup and delivery throughout Chicagoland.
Can You Really Get a Vehicle Wrap Installed in One Day?
Yes. Chicago Fleet Wraps offers same-day wrap installation for partial wraps, spot graphics, and lettering packages. Full wraps on standard vehicles (sedans, SUVs, cargo vans) can be completed in one business day when design files are pre-approved. Rush fees of 15 - 25% apply for same-day service.
What makes a single day possible is everything that happens before the vehicle arrives. The artwork is approved, the panels are printed, laminated and plotter cut to that vehicle's own file, and the bay is staged with the right rolls and the right hardware. Nobody is designing at ten in the morning. If the proof is still moving, it is not a one day install, and we say so on the phone rather than at four in the afternoon.
The other half is scope discipline. Lettering, spot graphics, a partial across sides and rear, a single accent panel: those finish in a day, reliably, on cast film with nothing cut short. A full wrap on a riveted box truck, a color change that needs door jambs and fuel doors, or any vehicle with heavy trim removal does not, and forcing one of those into a single day is how edges lift three months later. We quote the honest version.
What Does a One Day Wrap Cost?
Same day work is priced off the same measured square foot model as everything else, then scaled by how much of the vehicle actually gets covered. Coverage is the lever. It is not a cheaper film and it is not a different crew.
- Lettering and decal packages run about 20% of that vehicle's full wrap price. Company name, phone, website, DOT line, unit numbers.
- Partial wraps run about 55% of the full wrap price. Sides and rear carry the design, with hood, roof and bumpers left factory.
- Single panel accents land between the two, depending on whether the panel is a flat door or a hood with a crown in it.
- Fleet decal rollouts take 1 to 2 hours per vehicle, so several vans can move through in one day.
Rush fees of 15% to 25% apply when a job jumps the schedule instead of being booked into it. Booked a week out there is no rush fee at all, which is the cheapest advice on this page. Fleet volume discounts still apply to the contract: 3% at 2 to 4 vehicles, 7% at 5 to 9, 11% at 10 to 24, and 15% at 25 or more. Pull the full wrap figure for your vehicle from the price calculator and the coverage percentages above do the rest.
The Downtime Math Nobody Runs
Most shops quote a wrap in dollars and say nothing about the days. For a plumber or an HVAC contractor the days are the expensive part. A van that is not at a call is not billing, and a week of that on a two van operation is a real hole in the month. That is the entire reason this service exists.
So run the comparison honestly. A full wrap is the better buy when you can spare the vehicle, because it covers more surface for the money and the film gives the same 5 to 7 years of service life either way. When you cannot spare the vehicle, a partial installed in an afternoon beats a full wrap you keep postponing until the truck is five years old and the paint has started to chalk.
There is a middle route people miss. Letter the van this week, in one afternoon, so the phone number is on the road now. Then wrap it properly in January when the calls slow down. The lettering comes off cleanly when the full wrap goes on, and doing it in that order costs you nothing over doing it once.
Winter changes the clock, not the result. The install happens indoors at bay temperature. What the cold adds is the time a salted, frozen van needs to be washed properly and brought up to temperature before the first panel goes on. Book the first slot of the day in January, or leave the van with us overnight and it starts warm.
The Chicago Fleet Wraps Difference
With 25+ years of experience and 19,400+ vehicles wrapped, Chicago Fleet Wraps brings a level of expertise that most wrap shops simply cannot match. Every installation is performed by our in-house team. No subcontractors, no outsourced labor. Our climate-controlled facility maintains a constant 70°F for optimal vinyl adhesion, and we use only Avery Dennison MPI 1105 and 3M IJ180-CV3 cast vinyl.
We offer free fleet pickup and delivery throughout Chicagoland. from the lakefront out through the collar counties. For two years, if our workmanship lets go anywhere, an edge, a bubble, a bond, the repair is ours, on a one-day job same as any other. And we maintain zero verified paint damage claims in 25 years of operation. A record no other Chicago wrap shop can match.
Every project includes custom design with unlimited revisions, Pantone color matching, and a 47-point quality inspection before delivery. We treat every vehicle like it's our own. Because our reputation depends on every wrap we install looking perfect on day one and staying perfect for years to come.

One Day Wrap Questions
What time does my van need to be here?
Before nine in the morning, and before eight if it has been parked outside in winter. A cold body panel has to reach bay temperature before film touches it, and that wait is the most common reason a one day job turns into two. A vehicle that sleeps here the night before is warm and ready at open.
What happens between drop off and five o'clock?
Wash, degrease and an alcohol wipe on every surface that will take film. Hardware comes off: mirrors, handles, badges, lights where they sit in the way. Panels hang one at a time. Then post heat into every recess and edge, hardware back on, and a walk around inspection in daylight before anybody calls you to collect it.
Which jobs will you refuse to do in one day?
Full wraps on riveted box trucks, color changes that need door jambs and fuel doors, anything requiring bumper or trim removal, and any job whose artwork is not signed off before the vehicle arrives. We would rather lose the booking than hand back a wrap that starts lifting at the edges in spring.
Can you keep a fleet on the road while you wrap it?
Yes, and this is what same day work is really for. We take one or two vehicles a day on a rolling schedule, collect in the evening and deliver back the next evening, so a ten van fleet finishes over two weeks and never has more than two vans out of service. Pickup and delivery is free anywhere in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, Will and McHenry Counties.
